Housing Bazaar

Code of Conduct
  • A maximum of 3 representatives per stand is permitted.
  • One stand permitted per landlord/letting agency
  • This event is aimed at students, so a friendly, relaxed environment is encouraged.
  • All participants must remain by their stand i.e. no ‘hard selling’.
  • The Housing Bazaar is designated to the STUDENTS’ UNION ONLY and not the surrounding campus.
  • No pestering or flyer distribution is permitted outside of the venue.
  • All landlords/agency must provide a DASH Registration Number and/or scheme. The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 together with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires Letting Agents (and in some cases landlords) to be a member of the redress scheme; and to display this information together with details of any fees payable, in their offices and on their website. We will require these conditions to be met by any agency exhibiting at the bazaar.
  • Giveaways are acceptable, however alcohol-related freebies will be removed.
Food is also not permitted. If you have any queries please email Jo Gregory-Brough (jogregorybrough@lsu.co.uk)
  • We reserve the right to remove any misleading or offensive advertising that we do not deem appropriate
  • We reserve the right to remove any individuals or organisations that are in breach of the code of conduct.
  • Payment must be made in advance of the event. Full details will be provided on approval.
  • If you are an agent, we strongly recommend that you ensure all your landlords are DASH accredited prior to the event. We will be promoting DASH to students the importance of landlords and agents having the proper accreditation.
